Local Roots Food Tours offers three tours; each distinctly different. City of Trees Food Tasting and Cultural Walking Tour and our Origins of Sacramento Food and Cultural Walking Tour based in Sacramento, and venturing north of Sacramento; Gold Discovery Walking Food Tour of Nevada City takes place in the Sierra Nevada foothills, about 1 hour north of Sacramento. Soon to launch (April 6th, 2012) is our newest food tour; Murphys Food & Wine Tour in quaint historic town of Murphys in Calaveras County, about 1.5 hours south of Sacramento. Each tour offers a large variety of tastings while visiting an array of specialty food shops, artisans, and neighborhood restaurants. Enough food is served to consider it a meal.
