Our Sierra Foothill Farm & Wine Tour is being offered to the public on selected Friday’s and Saturday’s throughout December- weather pending. A great way to celebrate a birthday, anniversary or being new to the local area. Maximum capacity on any group size is 14 passengers.
What you can expect on our Sierra Foothill Farm & Wine Tours:
- Transportation from a central meeting location in our 14 passenger van.
- 4 hour round trip transportation with 5 to 6 different stops on tour route
- 25 to 30 minute stops at 2 to 3 independent farms, 1 to 2 vineyards and one local produce market
- A trained local guide ready to showcase farms, orchards &vineyards
- Up close contact with the owners of the farms, orchards and vineyards

Mandarin season is upon us! Come travel the hidden roads and lanes with us as we explore the hills of Placer County right up to the back-hoe in the garden! You will witness the beauty of the soil and its creations on our farm visits. Get up and close with the 4th and 5th generation farmers who made a name on the map in Placer County! Over 21 beautiful and boutique mandarin farms transpire the rolling hills into a breathtaking picture you might witness in the Mediterranean landscape. Over 18 family-run boutique wineries – many flock here for a pleasure not found in other regions – the chance to meet the winemakers.
This tour is fully guided by our specially-trained hosts who will delight you with stories and fun facts about the region and the methods used to coax Mother Nature to grow her bounty. Each participant will be treated to a gourmet lunch, along with complimentary water, tea, and juice. Each stop will allow shopping and filling our market bags, boxes and then some. Tour driver knows how to pack well and will assure your produce will be kept in safe storage bins until our tour experience comes to an end. Lunch is served al fresco style with a picnic setting. A chance to sit back, smell the farm fresh crisp winter air and take in all its beauty all while devouring some fresh local meats, cheeses, produce and fruits in your 4 course lunch.
Our tours launch at 10:15am on selected Fridays and Saturdays from a determined starting location in Newcastle, CA. We have a MINIMUM of 8 TOUR PARTICIPANTS per tour in order for the tour to run. We will notify all ticket buyers 24 hours in advance if this requirement is not achieved. We want the tour experience to be intimate so we keep or group sizes to 14 or less. Our tour vehicle is not wheelchair capable. Private tours are available for your group.
